I wasn't sure what to expect when I first got to campus, but it wasn't long before NC State started to feel like home. There are so many things to do - going to football games, hanging out on campus, meeting friends for dinner - it's exactly what I'd hoped college life would be like.

This is truly a place where you can explore as much as you want to, and I feel really fortunate to be here. Deciding to come to NC State was the best decision I could have possibly made.

what's happening on campus?

At NC State University, we are fully aware that life exists outside the classroom. And we want you to find it.

Finding the right balance between work and play will likely take some adjusting. But at the end of your freshman year, you’ll have mastered the perfect mix of social and extracurricular activities that’s right for you.

From choosing a residence hall to joining a club, getting involved in student government, to playing (or watching) varsity or intramural sports, conducting research, or just hanging out with friends, you’ll find there’s more to college life than just attending class.
